Set Of 8 Antique Georgian Cut Glass Port Wine Square Foot Circa 1820, Aperitif

They are very small in size, intended for port wines, aperitifs, dessert liquors etc. These are very old antique glasses, we estimate circa 1820, possibly earlier. The stem cut with 8 flutes, the foot square with chamfered edge, the pontils are ground and polished.

Size : approximately 3-1/8 tall with 1-1/4 square foot. Not a single one out of this set of 8 glasses is perfect. The good news is that all eight rims are free of chips. However all eight square feet have either small frits or chips, or possibly have some type of small chip repair. For example, two square feet have small corner chips that have been smoothed and polished leaving a rounded-off corner.

All eight glasses sit level and stable. As always due to age may have slight imperfections such as minor scuffs, scratches, trim wear, and/or slight manufacturing defects. Please view all photos as they are part of this condition report. The updated invoice will have an attached message from us.
