Heading : Set of four Venetian wine glasses Period : Umberto I / Victor Emmanuel III Origin : Venice, Italy Colour : Smokey grey Bowl : Bucket bowl with applied pie crust band to base Stem : Inverted baluster Stem Features : Annular collar, large air tear Foot : Folded conical Pontil : Snapped - there is a mark on the foot which we cannot make out, it appears to be initials and code "00" Glass Type : Lead-free Size : 14.9cm height, 7.2cm diameter bowl, 8.8cm diameter foot Condition : Excellent, no chips or cracks Restoration : None Weight: 590g. We believe these to be Salviati wine glasses but positive attribution has proven difficult, they may be from another Venetian / Muranese glassmaker. They are replicas of 16th century Venetian wine glasses.
