Japanese Arita Yaki Set Of 4 Porcelain Wine Goblets Somenishiki Peony & Lion
We are delighted to offer this Arita ware set of four porcelain wine goblets from the Saga Prefecture. These lovely goblets feature vivid Imari colors with gold gilt accents. The design, "Somenishiki peony & Lion", is also known as; "Somenisiki-de Shishi Dog Botan". This motif is famous in Japan and was awarded the Prime Minister's Award.
It also won a gold medal in the Grand Prix and Ragju-Arjan Pan in 2010. This very elegant set is gently used with no observable chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. They measure approximately 5.9" high x 2.7" diameter, an optimal size for wine, sake, fruit wine, and sakayake.
