Mexican Recycled Wine Glass Set Of 2 With Multicoloured Band Fair Trade

ETHICAL FAIR TRADE RECYCLED MEXICAN WINE GLASS SET OF 2 WITH MULTI COLOURED BAND. Recycled Mexican glass set of two handmade wine glasses. The glass is made on the outskirts of Guadalajara in Mexico. Made from 100% recycled glass material.

Thousands of all of glass bottles are collected by local people who then sell them to the glass workshops. The bottles are smashed into tiny pieces before being melted in the recycled glass gas burner at very high temperatures. Each piece is then individually handblown and the end result is the beautiful handblown heavyduty glassware. For one they are heavier and often contain small air bubbles, making each piece unique. Comes as a set of 2 as in the pictured box.

The size of each piece will vary as they are hand blown, though we do try to match sizes no one piece is the same. We are a Fair trade company and members of BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers). This means both us as a retailer and our suppliers are accountable to BAFTS to provide transparent information about our suppliers and our trading practices.

Both ourselves and our suppliers adhere to the 10 principles of Fair trade. All our products are handmade.

We chose suppliers who work with artisan groups, individual craftspeople, family groups or small businesses favouring natural and sustainable materials created.
