Tortoiseshell Green Glassware Set Pitcher Glasses Wine by Novica Handblown

8 magnificent wine and water glasses (4 of each) and one long, dramatic pitcher from Novica in Mexico City. Designed and made by Javier and Efrén, two designers who specialize in handblown glass. They have captured the effect of tortoise shell as each one was shaped by hand. These blown glass goblets are a testimony to the artisans' creativity and skill. Because each piece is handmade, shape and size can vary slightly and tiny bubbles may appear within the glass.

You can actually feel the texture of the glasses as if you were running your hand over a real tortoiseshell. They look more olive/army green in natural light. I could not find another comp that had the random splashes of red, so these seem to be rather unique and rare. The other pieces I found were the traditional brown/amber tortoiseshell pattern.

Perfect for lemonade, sangria or just plain ol' ice tea and chardonnay. Note: There is a "frosted ribbon" that swirls up inside the pitcher and is not a defect. Water glasses measure 5 3/4" high and 3 3/4" in diameter.

Wine glasses measure 7" high and 3 3/4" in diameter. Pitcher stands a little over 12 (looks much taller). Thank you for visiting "Texas Treasures".
